The timer

A time tracker is only useful if you can trust it while you're not looking at it. Timmen's timer is built to be forgotten about.
Start a timer and put your phone away. The timer keeps running even when the app is closed — it doesn't need the screen on, a foreground app, or a connection.
Timmen never stops or deletes a timer on its own. If you forget one overnight, the app shows how long it has been running, and you can trim the entry before saving so the record matches what you actually worked.
When you stop the timer, describe what you did in a few words. If you later invoice those hours, your labels go on the invoice word for word.
Local-first
An hour tracker without an account.
Most time tracking apps are a login to a service. Timmen is a tool on your phone. There's nothing to sign up for, nothing to sync, and no monthly fee for the privilege of seeing your own hours.
Everything works without a connection — timing, labelling, even creating and sharing invoices. Track hours on a plane, on site, or anywhere your signal drops.
There is no Timmen account and no server. Nothing is uploaded anywhere, there are no analytics or ads, and we don't collect your email.
Your hours are stored on your phone, the same way your photos are. Android backs the file up automatically, so everything comes back when you switch phones.
Then what
Tracked hours become invoices.
Timmen groups your unbilled hours by client. When it's time to bill, pick the entries, add VAT if you need it, and the built-in invoice generator turns your freelance hours into a PDF — with your labels as the line descriptions. If you'd rather use Timmen as a plain hour tracker, that works too: invoicing is optional, and Timmen Pro can export your entries to CSV instead.
